The mission of the British Fibroid Trust (BFT) is to:
- Provide impartial balanced and evidence-based information on fibroids and its treatment(s), to women with fibroids, families, friends and the healthcare professionals caring for them.
- Provide support to women suffering from fibroids (It does not diagnose or treat specific health problems.)
- Serve as a forum for public education; to raise the level of awareness among gynaecologists, doctors, healthcare providers, government, and the public at large to prompt a more comprehensive and integrated care for fibroid sufferers.
- Campaign for more research into the cause(s), the prevention and better treatment(s) of fibroids.
