| Woman should not have to
suffer fibroids with only
invasive surgery as an option.
Why is the MR Guided FUS
Therapy not available on the
NHS ! |

| More research desperately needed
& more doctors to be aware that
cutting out a womans womanhood
is not the only answer and
deeply offending. |

| My latest consultation with my
gynacologist suggested I have
a hysterectomy because at 45
I'm too old for other
procedures. I'm appalled by
this. Definitely needs more
research and knowledge for
these |

| I would like more research
into myomectomy treatment
options for women over 50.
It seems this procedure is
hardly ever offed or
performed on women who have
passed their fertile years.
\"If you are not going to
have any more children, then
you don\'t need your
uterus\",
seems to be the thinking.
However, I do think I need
my uterus. It has other
functions in the body apart
from bearing children and
needs to valued. I think it
is pretty appalling that so
many women should have a
major organ removed for a
benign condition. We need
more data on myomectomy for
older women. |

| This is a common problem that
so many women suffer.
In my experience
gynaecologists that i have
seen just push for the cheap
easy option for the NHS and
tell you that a Hysterectomy
is your best treatment (best
for who i ask).
Certainly not for me as i
have educated myself on this.
We are in the 21st century is
this still the best we can
offer women . |

| As a fibroid suffer in my opinion there
isn\'t engouh research for treatment. I
had to have a total hysterectomy at
the end due to constant blooding and
unbearable pain. I would have lost
my job if I was a new member of
staff. I felt there wasn\'t engouh
support or information when I needed
it. This is a silent nightmare for
women. A lot of women can\'t have
kids because of this horrible thing. |

| I feel strongly that there
should be more research. I
have suffered 4 miscarriages
and my last was twins I
thought it was over but I
ended up bleeding so much I
needed a blood transfusion and
a hysteroscopy and they
removed the fibroid. There is
not alot of research on this
and since the procedure i have
had nothing but pain. |
