| I recently underwent a hysterectomy and whilst care was good and I am recovering well it seems to me that there should be a better answer than to have this invasive operation. thousands of women go through this every year and it is time funding was stepped up to investigate new options for us. |

| I have been very impressed with the Uterine Fibroid Embolisation treatment I recently received. More GPs need to be made aware of this so that they can inform patients that hysterectomy and myomectomy are not the sole options. I support this petition to lobby for increased research into this common condition. |

| I was diagnosed with fibroids
when pregnant with my second
child in 1988,I have since had
5 other children so fertility
not affected.I try not to
complain despite severe
symptoms as GP will push for
the obvious solution,which at
43 I have no intention of
loosing my womb! |

| I simply didn\'t realise how many women are affected by this condition. Despite knowing about this condition for so long, so little research and funding has been put towards it that I would love to hear this petition makes a difference. Thanks and love to all who are affected by fibriods. x |
